Riely Smith
Class: Ms. Massie- National Art Honor Society "This artwork showcases my interpretation and representation of 2020. The main topics I wanted to focus on were Black Lives Matter and the pandemic. Overall, my work portrays a sense of boldness, which I hope people are moved by," senior Riely Smith said.
Sarah Harris
Class: Art Foundations II In Art Foundations II, Sarah Harris painstakingly created this portrait of her dogs, using patterns to represent value within the artwork. This art was selected to represent LCHS in the Virginia School Board Art competition for the 2020-2021 school year.
Olivia Thompson
Class: Art Foundations II with Mrs. McGinnis In Art Foundations II, Olivia Thompson created this sculpture by making casts of her own hands and mounting them on books. She then painted the hands using various colors to symbolize the skin tones of different races. The hands are reaching towards one another, ultimately to form a heart.
