2022 New Teacher Profiles
As one walks down the hall, this year’s freshmen and transfers are not the only new faces seen. Twenty new teachers have been added to the LCPS family. First year newspaper staffers set out to get to know our new teachers through the writing of the teacher profiles.
Rae Anne Evans
This school year, Rae Anne Evans joined the Lion Pride as the new geometry and algebra II teacher. Evans graduated high school in New Jersey, then attended Drew University, Rutgers University, and finished her studies at VCU before she started teaching. “I wanted to help people…so I figured [teaching] would be the best way for me to contribute to society,” Evans said. This year the English department is welcoming three new teachers. Kenneth Kilinski
This year the school is offering a new and exciting course in Television and Media Productions, the class is taught by Kenneth Kilinski. Though Kilinski is new to Louisa County, he taught at Franklin County High School, in Rocky Mount, Virginia for seventeen years. Before he started teaching, Kilinski graduated from Radford University, then worked in broadcasting for ten years. �...

One new staff member who joined the team this year is Sarah Truslow. Truslow began teaching in Baltimore and has been teaching for over 40 years. Nicole Spencer is a former nurse who switched to teaching for the new school year.
