Mrs. Jennifer Ellis

Mrs. Ellis was in active duty from 1987-1990 with three years in the Army, and is now an English 9 teacher. Ellis shared one of her unique experiences when she was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. “On one of my trips to my headquarters on mainland Japan, we played baseball against a team of sumo wrestlers.” details Ellis. “I can’t remember who won, but  we had a fun time!” Mrs. Ellis likes to share a few pieces of knowledge with her students from her years of service. “My time in the Army gave me a respect for other cultures and a desire to travel and see as much of the world as I can,” recounts Ellis. “It also gave me a strong work ethic because in the military everyone is responsible for the work that needs to be done and the only option is to complete every task.”
