The boat arrived at Iguana Island, an island inhabited by iguanas neighboring the Providenciales which is the third biggest island of Turks and Caicos.

The boat arrived at Iguana Island, an island inhabited by iguanas neighboring the Providenciales which is the third biggest island of Turks and Caicos.

Arriving in Turks and Caicos, after spending the 3-hour flight working on homework. (Carlee Hicks)

In Turks and Caicos, as opposed to the United States, people drive on the opposite side of the road. (Carlee Hicks)

After check-in, the refreshing turquoise water shone in the sunlight as the fish swam steadily. (Carlee Hicks)

Exploring more of the resort, walking past the palm trees that are standing above the various pools and parks. (Carlee Hicks)

Riding on a catamaran tour, watching as the boat began to speed up as it passed the islands that make up Turks and Caicos. (Carlee Hicks)

After snorkeling to see the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world, watching as the boat stopped at one of the most infamous tourist attractions, Noah’s Ark. (Carlee Hicks)

Later in the day, I finished my schoolwork on my balcony, hearing the sounds of the waves in the background.

Going back to my room, walking by the waves crashing onto the shore as people watched the sunset. (Carlee Hicks)

Headed to Sopadillas, which is a Caribbean restaurant serving various authentic Caribbean dishes. (Carlee Hicks)

Walking around the resort, past the many restaurants flooded with people, showcasing cuisines from around the world. (Carlee Hicks)

Laying in the hammock on a sunny day, it swung in the wind beside the ocean. (Carlee Hicks)

In the morning, the dock was covered in giant conch shells the fishermen brought back from their expeditions. (Carlee Hicks)

Walking down the beach, one would notice the many activities the resort offered like surfboarding, water cycling, scuba diving, and paddle boarding.

As the trip came to a close, the pool glistened in the light when walking back to my room, saying goodbye to Turks and Caicos. (Carlee Hicks)
