Sophomore Branden Bodden, who is just 16 years old, has been running his own photography and videography business for about a year.
“I talked to my dad about it,” Bodden said. “He said he would get me a camera. I’ve always loved watching it and seeing other people do it, so my inspiration was from them, and partly from my dad, too.”
His photography Instagram “@flics.brandon” has garnered the attention of many students around
Louisa. This is where Bodden posts his photos, videos, and availability for photography gigs. Bodden’s posts have gained much attention, with his first video on Instagram reels reaching over 7,000 views.
“He’s doing what he loves to do,” sophomore Blake Simpson said. “It’s inspiring others to start it, too.”
Bodden spends his Fridays and Saturdays selecting photos and editing them to send to each of the players. He also drops a video every Saturday featuring the Varsity Football game from the day before. The videos vary each time, whether it’s a different song or unique highlights showcasing players’ abilities and personalities.
“I look forward to the videos every week,” football manager and junior Kaycee Morgan said.” I think they are fun to watch Being with them on the sidelines, I see the ins and outs of everything, I can see those parts being put into the videos every week.”
Bodden is best known for his photography on Wednesday and Friday nights for the JV and Varsity football teams. He charges low prices, ranging from $10 to $25 per game or session.
“I love doing it for people and because they like what they see,” Bodden said. “
Bodden has built a rapport with the teams’ coaches and players of the teams he photographs, often spending time with them before they have to go and get ready for the game. Bodden takes pre-game pictures and even videos that sometimes make it into the final cut.
“He is the only one in the area that can take pictures that I’m close with,” sophomore JV quarterback Zaveian Harris said. “Me and Brandon have been friends for a minute. What he’s doing now is pretty dope [great].”

“I’ve had a huge leap, but there’s still so much more to come and I want to thank everybody who’s supported me,” Bodden said “I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you all supporting me.”
