As the holiday season approaches, many students are getting excited and making lists of things they hope to find under the tree on Christmas morning. 

Lots of students around the school have been talking about getting trendy and expensive gifts, and it may be hard to narrow it down to what they want to get this year. 

 “I’m definitely asking for trendy clothes and Hokas,” senior Gabriella McGehee said.  “I have a pair, and they are one of the best shoes I’ve had. I’m asking for those, partially because they’re trendy, but more because I love them.”

 Popular products in the school are mainly electronics, shoes, and clothes. The popularity of these items would be due to social media influencers specializing in these trends. 

“There’s definitely stuff like the Lululemon wallet that is super trendy, and of course, I’m asking for that too,” McGehee said.

Some students are asking for products such as electronics and clothes that will help them in the upcoming school year. 

“I want a computer for college, and I put down a lot of clothes for college,” senior Reese Merritt said.

Electronics are one of the most highly requested items during Christmas time. Numerous college students ask for them every year. 

 “I am trying to prepare for college, so one of the biggest things I’m asking for is an iPad, then with that, I am asking for a case and an Apple Pencil too,” McGehee said. 

Others are steering away from the electronic route and are asking for things such as clothes and shoes.

“This Christmas I am just asking for a bunch of clothes like new jackets, but new shoes would also be nice,” sophomore Tyson Whiteside said.

Brands are playing a big part in the wishlist department. Many of the same brands keep coming up this year. Brands like Nike, Hoka, Lululemon, Altar’d State, Jordan, Summer Fridays, and Adidas are some of the more popular amongst the school due to trends seen at school this year.

“The shoes I want this year are the Adidas Campuses,” junior Kayleigh Metz said. 

Shoes are a big hit this year just like every year, but more people have been looking into getting new shoes and getting them in more fashionable and bigger brands. 

“Nike and Jordan are some of the brands I want,” Whiteside said.

A couple of students are also asking for products that will benefit them in their sports in the upcoming season. 

“I wrote down some clothes and shoes for tennis,” Merritt said. 

Along with clothes, electronics, and shoes, makeup is also a widely asked-for item. Like the other products, makeup is also trendy.

“I want more makeup this Christmas,” Metz said. “I also really want another Summer Fridays lip gloss.”

While several students are asking for expensive items, some are being mindful of what they are asking for. 

“I try to ask for a wide range of prices in the stuff I asked for, so I asked for a couple of expensive things, but I tried to have a wide variety so that my family is not overwhelmed or they have to get me something that’s super expensive,” McGehee said.
