The original “Twilight” novel was released almost twenty years ago, and in honor of this anniversary, the movie saga is being re-released into theaters on Oct. 29, nearly thirteen years after the final movie premiered in theaters.
“I first watched ‘Twilight’ when I was six years old,” sophomore Isabella Franklin said, “I’m really excited to finally see it in theaters.”
Due to the movie’s re-showing in theaters, new fans who couldn’t see the movie in theaters originally now have the chance.
“Seeing [‘Twilight’] in theaters is going to be a unique experience,” sophomore Teagan Gentry said. “I love to order food, sit in a comfy chair, and watch my favorite movies.”
The “Twilight” series has maintained long-lasting fans since its release in 2008. For some viewers, its impact has brought friends and family together.

“[The movies] had an amazing impact on me,” junior Melody Young said. “[My cousin and I] bonded over it, and so did [my mom and I]. We’re going to see it in theaters together.”
The “Twilight” movies have captured the attention of audiences because of their unique storytelling. The movies have mixes of drama, mystery, and romance, which have helped create their enduring fanbase.
“I like [the movie] mostly because I just love anything romance-related,” Gentry said. “It’s mysterious and dramatic, plus I love the soundtrack. After watching the movies, I wanted to read the books, so they made me start wanting to read more.”
With “Twilight” returning to the big screen, some fans are looking forward to more than nostalgia. Over the years, the series has introduced viewers to new hobbies, friendships, reading habits, and, for some, self-discovery. The reshowing

gives some people a chance to relive these experiences.
“It made me understand more of who I am as a person,” senior Miles Timberlake said. “Twilight might be dramatic, but that’s what makes it unforgettable.”
