In a small county such as Louisa, along with new COVID-19 restrictions, there is not much for community members to do to keep themselves entertained. The Lake Anna Taphouse has opened their doors to the community to shine a light and provide entertainment to local individuals.

With themes such as “Wednesday Wings” and “Taco Tuesdays,” owner Brian Gilbreth wanted to catch the attention of all ages to build a strong family atmosphere at the Taphouse.

“Our business is very inviting to families, and we want to be the place all ages can come and enjoy,” Gilbreth said. Along with your typical pub food such as fried pickles, pretzels and nachos, you can stop by Cream and Caffeine to pick up some ice cream or a cup of coffee.

Cream and Caffeine is an extension to The Lake Anna Taphouse where fresh dairy ice cream and locally roasted coffee is sold. When ice cream is in season, you can expect to see your traditional flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and a special pineapple dole whip.

For your daily caffeine fix, you can choose between a variety of menu items that include cappuccinos, lattes and frozen blends with various flavor shots such as caramel, vanilla, pumpkin spice and peppermint to spice up your coffee.

“Our coffee is very unique, roasted locally at Orange County Roasters, we feel like we start with the highest quality product which our baristas create the best tasting coffee to start your day,” Gilbreth said.

Senior Nate Feagans is an employee at The Lake Anna Taphouse and has been working since October. Feagans enjoys working at the Taphouse because “the people that work with you, they are always willing to help you out if you need it.”

Along with live music and special events including trivia, movie and open mic nights, the Lake Anna Taphouse surely has something for everyone.
