“Ultimately my goal is to have all of [these activities] at some point, but that won’t be able to happen until we are allowed to have big gatherings and do it safely,” Principal Lee Downey said.

No one wants to miss out on the night of their senior prom or Friday’s football games, especially those held here at Louisa County High School. However, with the new way of life we are all trying to cope with, there are many unknowns of if or when events like these will take place. Fortunately, the LCHS faculty members put these questions at the top of their list and make it a priority to make this school year one to remember.

Downey, along with many others, hopes to soon get the go-ahead to have activities that would be held without question during any “normal” school year. This year, obviously, these events would have to follow the restrictions set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Virginia Department of Health.

“Ultimately my goal is to have all of [these activities] at some point, but that won’t be able to happen until we are allowed to have big gatherings and do it safely,” Downey said.

Right now, staff and members of LCHS want to help make the best out of this far from normal school year, which will definitely be one to remember.
