On Tuesday, Ms. Fletcher completed her 105 mile run to Washington D.C. fueled by her drive to help students achieve their dreams and reach a higher education. Since 2016, more than $70,000 has been raised for scholarships through the Lion Pride Run. This year, Ms. Fletcher raised more than $40,000 to support seniors from the high school going to college. Upon arriving, there were crowds of students and staff from all over the county cheering her on to show their appreciation.

A big goal of this run was not only to raise money for student scholarships but also to encourage and represent the students that face difficult challenges and overcome them.

“Mrs. Fletcher’s run inspired me because of how long she fought through the challenge and how she never gave up even when it got tough,” sophomore Kayla Dove said.
