This Friday evening, from 4:00-6:30 the LC Hiking Club will host the first annual Corn Hole Tournament. Tickets are pre-sold for $10 a team, and can be bought at the table before the games begin. The event is not only corn hole; there will also be stations set up for tie-dye, bake sales, and raffle tickets.

The tournament will include 32 teams, all the stations will be run by Hiking Club members who will switch in rotations. Winners of the corn hole game will be awarded their own customized set of LC Hiking Club Corn Hole boards and bean bags.

Tie-dye shirts will be $10, with sizes ranging from medium to extra large. The colors are shades of yellow and green to show school spirit and promote Earth Day. Everyone from kids to adults can experience the fun of tie-dying their own shirts.

The bake sale will be at a front table with a variety of treats including chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and cupcakes. All of the baked goods will be sold for $1 each except for the smores kits, which will be sold for $2. If none of those sweets spike your interest, popcorn will be sold for $1. Plus, the usual game day concession stand will sell hot dogs, chips, and drinks.

Several winners will be selected during the raffle with the chance to win a variety of LC Hiking apparel including, long sleeve and short sleeve shirts. Tickets will be sold for $1 per three tickets.

The Hiking Club is sponsoring this event to help fundraise their club along with raising money to provide for summer trips.

This upcoming summer, the Hiking Club will be traveling out of state. They will be going out West for a week’s worth of hiking trips and activities. Money raised will also be used to help cut the cost of the trips for members attending and provide more gear for the club.
