Butterball 2022 took place Dec. 8th in the high school main gym as a fundraiser held by the LCHS Lion’s Roar newspaper staff. Throughout the game, the 4H team and newspaper staff sold cotton candy, popcorn, drinks, and candy to the crowd. To start the tournament, freshmen and sophmores played each other, resulting in a win by the sophomores. Afterwards, the juniors and seniors played against each other, ending in a win by the seniors. The final game was played between the sophomores and seniors and concluded in a big win from the seniors.

As a result of everyone’s generosity and coming out to support the event, the newspaper staff was able to donate $100 dollars to the Louisa Resource Council. The Lion’s Roar wants to thank everyone who helped.
