“Bridgerton” season four, based on the third Bridgerton series book “An Offer From a Gentleman” by Julia Quinn, originally released in 2001. The season was released on Netflix in February, and will follow the second oldest Bridgerton brother, Benedict.
The female love interest for this season is Sophie Baek, played by Yerin Ha, while the male is the returning character of Benedict Brigderton, played by Luke Thompson. Unlike previous seasons, this season focuses more on the lives of the working class and servants of the London upper class. The season focuses on Benedict’s adventures in love and the mysterious lady in silver who caught his eye.

“While the season itself faces challenges balancing its themes with subtlety, among other things, the romance between Sophie and Benedict offers hope amid uncertainty,” “But Why Tho” critic Sarah Musnicky said.
The season also hints at side stories that might be continued in future seasons. These side plots bring to fruition the hope for a relationship and possible season between the Bridgerton matriarch, Violet, played by Ruth Gemmell, and the brother of Lady Danberry, Marcus Anderson, played by Daniel Francis. As well as the executive producer alluding to a side series being developed.
“With Queen Charlotte, we thoroughly enjoyed that experience,” Executive producer Tom Verica said. “It was more kind of a smaller look at a particular love story that’s spanned over those episodes and I think we kind of caught something that people really responded to so we are in the talks of some other projects that hopefully something new will be coming out. They have been characters you have met before and are invested in.”

Little is known about the fifth season of Bridgerton, but fans of the series have been speculating nonetheless about the protagonist of the next season and of the identity of a mysterious new whistleblower.
“My hopes for the next season are pretty high,” freshman Jalleah Toliver said. “I’m hoping that Eloise is finally getting married.”
