Love is in the air, and Valentine’s Day is here! Love doesn’t have to mean a romantic relationship It also mean a sharing of love between friends, family, and even self-love.
So you may ask yourself, what can I do to survive this season of deep affection? Well, that’s what I am here for! Here are a few ways to help you guide through all the feels, and passion.
If you’re looking to spread love to your best girlfriends, have a galentine’s, and celebrate your girls! You can get all dressed up and get a yummy dinner, go shopping, or even see a movie. Or, if you’re looking for more of a night in, get take out, wear PJ’s, and get yall’s favorite take out. The truth is, good friends will outlast some relationships and that’s worth celebrating.
To continue, a family valentine doesn’t have to be awkward at home. Bake something, or cook a home cooked meal that includes everyone. While having some downtime, have a “three things I appreciate about you” moment. Even just hanging out, talking, or watching a show counts. Family love is steady, not flashy, but real and authentic.

Valentine’s Day can absolutely be about you. Here are some ways to feel a little less lonely, and find some comfort. This may sound a little cheesy, but write down stuff you are proud of that you’ve done or even the type of love you hope to find one day.
To add on, treat yourself, buy all your favorite candies and have some self-care time. Take a bubble bath, do a face mask, paint your nails. Do something that makes you feel good and content. Future-you will appreciate this.
This one is for my fellow people who are in love. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be over the top, keep it simple. This does not have to be dramatic. Give a handwritten note to your significant other, and simply spend quality time with each other. Remember, if someone is pressuring you or makes this stressful, that is not what love is supposed to feel like.
Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples, it’s for everyone you love. That being said, celebrate love in all forms,; because the best valentine is anyone who makes you feel valued and appreciated.
