Wrestling advances to the State tournament

   On Friday Feb.17, ten Louisa wrestlers will travel to Virginia Beach for the two day VHSL Class 4-6 State Wrestling Championship. After the Regional 4D tournament on Feb.11, eight Lions qualified for states with two alternates. Luke Rowan, Kasey Casazza, and Tanner Painting not only qualified for states, but also left as region champions. 

   The State Championship will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center, with the first round starting at 10 a.m. on Friday. Saturday will begin with the Semi-Finals, with the Championship set to begin at 5 p.m. 

  A Friday pass or Saturday pass is $20, while a two day pass is only $25. To purchase tickets, visit here.

   The Lion’s wrestling season came to an end this past weekend after traveling to Virginia Beach for the VHSL Class 4-6 State Wrestling Championship. Luke Rowan ended his season as sixth in the state, while two others, Kasey Casazza and Tanner Painting, were one match away from placing. We congratulate the team for working hard at states and making Louisa proud.
